How well do you know or understand your users?
Usually, there are great tools out there to observe interactions with your business, but one of the most important things to remember is dialogue directly from your users is the most important feedback you can get.
Simple feedback that could help with new features, UI, or even a bug could save your business thousands or millions of dollars (depending on how big your business is, of course).
In this article, we look at some of the best questions you should ask your customers, so you don’t miss out on any insights. Of course, if you need to create a survey or form, you can make an all-access free account here using Yought.

What makes a good question?
So before we get into a list of questions, it’s essential to understand what is a good question. One of the most important things to understand is that questions need to be:
- Unbias
- Critical and focused on a goal or metric in mind
- Not misleading or cause misunderstandings
If you fail to follow any of the facts above, you risk creating skewed and incorrect data.
Some good questions to ask
Because there are many different types of questions to ask, we varied the questions. Some of these are generic enough to be altered, but we wanted to help provide some examples of questions you could ask your users.
As a note, you can always leave questions open-ended, but sometimes it’s better to attach a scale (1 to 10) or a simple multiple-choice selection (Yes or No, etc.). Additionally, if you’re using a scale, make sure to define what 1 and 10 means (e.g., ‘1’ for ‘Poor’, 10 for ‘Amazing’).
